十業令眾生得醜陋報：一好行忿怒、二好懷嫌恨、三惑誑於他、四惱亂眾生、五於父母所無愛敬心、六於賢聖所不生恭敬、七侵奪賢聖資生田業、八於佛塔廟斷滅燈明、九見醜陋毀呰輕賤、十習諸惡行。十業令眾生得端政報：一不瞋、二施衣、三愛敬父母、四尊重賢聖、五塗飾佛塔、六掃灑堂宇、七掃灑僧地、八掃灑佛塔、九見醜陋者不生輕賤起恭敬心、十見端政者悟曉宿因。

Ten karmas cause sentient beings to receive the retribution of ugliness: first, being fond of acting with anger; second, being fond of harboring resentment; third, deceiving others; fourth, vexing and disturbing sentient beings; fifth, lacking love and respect toward one's parents; sixth, not giving rise to reverence toward noble ones and sages; seventh, usurping the fields and estates that provide the livelihoods of noble ones and sages; eighth, extinguishing lamps at Buddhist stūpas and shrines; ninth, seeing the ugly and disparaging or holding them in contempt; tenth, practicing various evil deeds. Ten karmas cause sentient beings to receive the retribution of being upright and handsome: first, not being angry; second, giving clothing; third, loving and respecting parents; fourth, venerating noble ones and sages; fifth, plastering and decorating Buddhist stūpas; sixth, sweeping and sprinkling halls and dwellings; seventh, sweeping and sprinkling the Saṅgha grounds; eighth, sweeping and sprinkling Buddhist stūpas; ninth, upon seeing the ugly, not giving rise to contempt but giving rise to reverence; tenth, upon seeing the upright and handsome, understanding the past causes.
