以燈明施得十功德：一照世如燈、二隨所生處肉眼不壞、三得於天眼、四於善惡法得善智慧、五除滅大闇、六得智慧明、七流轉世間常不在於黑闇之處，餘三如前。

Giving lamps yields ten merits: first, illuminating the world like a lamp; second, the physical eyes not being impaired wherever one is born; third, attaining the divine eye; fourth, attaining wholesome wisdom regarding good and evil dharmas; fifth, dispelling great darkness; sixth, attaining the brightness of wisdom; seventh, when transmigrating through the world, constantly not being in a place of darkness; the remaining three are as before.
