3.61

求法有三種大：一者方便大，由最上精進求世諦第一諦實不倒故；二他利大，由法作世間依怙以第一義安置故；三自利大，由一切功德如海滿足故。

Seeking the Dharma has three kinds of greatness: first, greatness of skillful means, because by the most supreme vīrya one seeks conventional truth and ultimate truth truly and without error; second, greatness of benefiting others, because by the Dharma serving as a refuge for the world, one establishes [sentient beings] in the ultimate truth; third, greatness of self-benefit, because all virtues are fulfilled like the ocean.
