一體性者，以信、精進、正念、正定、正慧為體。故《攝論》云：「清淨增上力，堅固心昇進，名菩薩初修，無數三大劫。」增上力者，即信等五，故以信等而為自體。

First, regarding its essence: it takes faith, vigor, right mindfulness, right concentration, and right wisdom as its essence. Therefore, the Mahāyānasaṃgraha states: 'With pure, predominant power, / And an advancing, firm mind, / This is called the bodhisattva's initial cultivation / For three great incalculable eons.' 'Predominant power' refers to the five [faculties] such as faith; therefore, it takes faith and the others as its own essence.
