2.19

謂此識於第八地已前，法執猶恒，我執間斷，由第六不恒在雙空觀故；至此不動地，則我執永伏，法執間起，由第六恒在生空觀故。何非斷種？不障因故，最下品故，任運起故，體微細故，唯有覆故。

This means that prior to the eighth bhūmi, this consciousness's dharmagrāha is still constant, while ātmagrāha is intermittent, because the sixth is not constantly in the contemplation of dual emptiness; upon reaching this Immovable bhūmi, ātmagrāha is perpetually suppressed, and dharmagrāha arises intermittently, because the sixth is constantly in the contemplation of the emptiness of persons. Why are its seeds not severed? Because they do not obstruct the cause, because they are of the lowest grade, because they arise spontaneously, because their essence is subtle, and because they are merely nivṛta.
