問：「若初即具後，得初即得後者，亦可後亦具初；既不得後，應亦不得初耶？」答：「實爾，但以得初無不得後故，是故無有未得後而不得初也。」

Question: 'If the initial already possesses the subsequent, and attaining the initial means attaining the subsequent, then the subsequent should also possess the initial; since one has not attained the subsequent, should one not also fail to attain the initial?' Answer: 'Indeed so; but because attaining the initial never fails to attain the subsequent, there is never a case of not having attained the subsequent and thus failing to attain the initial.'
