Third, in revealing its meaning: True suchness has the meaning of existence, because it is the support for delusion and awakening; furthermore, because of the meaning of non-emptiness and because it is indestructible, the rest being as stated above. True suchness also has the meaning of emptiness, because it is free of characteristics, accords with conditions, and opposes defilement, the rest likewise being as above. True suchness also has the meaning of both existence and nonexistence, because it possesses virtues, is free in opposing and conforming, and is completely fused. It also has the meaning of neither existence nor nonexistence, because the two are non-dual and cannot be grasped definitively; other converse explanations should be understood by analogy with the above. Second, other-dependence has the meaning of existence, because it is accomplished through conditions and lacks self-nature, the rest being understood by analogy with the preceding; other-dependence has the meaning of nonexistence, because it is accomplished through conditions and lacks self-nature, likewise understood as before; other-dependence has the meaning of both existence and nonexistence, because it is accomplished through conditions and lacks self-nature, as before; other-dependence has the meaning of neither existence nor nonexistence, because the two are non-dual and neither one can be grasped alone, as before. Third, the imagined has existence, from the perspective of sentiment; the imagined has nonexistence, from the perspective of principle; the imagined is both existent and nonexistent, because it is what is grasped; the imagined is neither existent nor nonexistent, because it is what is grasped. The rest can be grasped by reflecting on the above. The detailed explanation of the three natures is completed above.
