其受識義，略說有三：一事受識，如轉輪聖王具受識法。二理受識，如三乘人契得理寶名為受識。三理事受識，如得位菩薩坐大寶蓮華王，十方諸佛放光灌頂等，內應法界名為受識。廣如問答及以經文。餘義如別章。

The meaning of receiving consecration, briefly stated, has three [aspects]: First, receiving consecration in phenomena, as a wheel-turning sage king possesses the dharma of receiving consecration. Second, receiving consecration in principle, as persons of the Triyāna tally with the jewel of principle, which is called receiving consecration. Third, receiving consecration in both principle and phenomena, as a bodhisattva who has attained the stage sits upon the great precious lotus flower king, and the Buddhas of the ten directions emit light to bestow consecration, internally corresponding to the dharmadhātu, which is called receiving consecration. These are extensively explained in the questions and answers, as well as in the text of the sūtra. The remaining meanings are as in the separate chapter.
