往生義者，總有七門：一明往生意、二明往生所信之境、三明往生因緣、四明往生驗生法、五明往生業行、六明往生人位分齊、七明往生業行迴轉不同。

Regarding the meaning of rebirth, there are seven headings in all: (1) clarifying the intention behind rebirth; (2) clarifying the realm of faith for rebirth; (3) clarifying the causes and conditions of rebirth; (4) clarifying the methods of verifying rebirth; (5) clarifying the karmic practices for rebirth; (6) clarifying the demarcations of the stages of persons who attain rebirth; (7) clarifying the different conversions of karmic practices for rebirth.
