Regarding the unshared dharmas, they refer to the thirty-two marks of a great person, the eighty minor marks, the four purities of all kinds, the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, the three bases of mindfulness, the three ways of leaving nothing to guard, great compassion, the dharma of unforgetfulness, the eradication of all residual conditioning, and the wondrous cognition of all kinds. Within these one hundred and forty unshared dharmas, when the twenty-eight unshared dharmas such as the four purities of all kinds are fully purified and fulfilled, these unshared [dharmas] are attained. They are not shared with the causal [stages], and belong solely to the Hīnayāna. Furthermore, there are eighteen unshared [dharmas], namely: no error in body, no error in speech, no error in mindfulness, no discriminatory perception, no uncollected mind, no unawareness, no decrease in desire [to benefit others] after having relinquished [defilements], no decrease in diligence, no decrease in mindfulness, no decrease in insight, no decrease in liberation, no decrease in the knowledge and vision of liberation, all bodily deeds following wisdom, all verbal deeds following wisdom, all mental deeds following wisdom, unhindered wisdom knowing the past, unhindered wisdom knowing the future, and unhindered wisdom knowing the present. These eighteen are not shared with the two vehicles, and hence are called unshared. According to texts such as the Abhidharmahṛdaya-śāstra, taking the ten powers, the four fearlessnesses, great compassion, and the three bases of mindfulness as the eighteen unshared [dharmas] should be known as being unshared [even in] the Hīnayāna; this is a wild calculation of the Hīnayāna, but [properly] these are the unshared [dharmas] of the Triyāna. Furthermore, there are ten kinds of unshared [dharmas], which belong to the Ekayāna, as in the 'Chapter on Transcending the World'. The reason ten are stated is to manifest infinity. The remaining meanings are as in the separate chapter.
