相傳龍樹菩薩往龍宮中，見有大本《不思議經》，有十三千大千世界微塵數偈，四天下微塵數品。中本有四十九萬八千八百偈，一千二百品。下本有十萬偈，三十六品。支法領從千奠國，從三萬六千偈三十四品來，見傳此土也。

Tradition holds that Nāgārjuna Bodhisattva went into the dragon palace and saw that there was a large recension of the Acintya Sūtra, having verses as numerous as the dust motes of thirteen great trichiliocosms and chapters as numerous as the dust motes of the four continents. The medium recension has 498,800 verses and 1,200 chapters. The small recension has 100,000 verses and 36 chapters. Zhi Faling brought 36,000 verses and 34 chapters from Khotan, which is currently transmitted in this land.
