歐陽子日本刀歌曰：「徐福行時書未焚，逸書百篇今尚存，令嚴不許傳中國，舉世無人識古文。」吁！此事也，偽乎真乎？未得其可徵者，不易與之言矣。但至我大雄氏之教籍，則寔有不愧所言者而存焉。近鋟孔目章，印生某者令（余）點校，以偶記之而書為跋。

Ouyang Xiu's 'Song of the Japanese Sword' says: 'When Xu Fu set out, the books were not yet burned; the hundred lost works still survive today. Strict orders forbid their transfer to China; in all the world no one understands the ancient script.' Alas! As for this matter, is it false or true? Since we have not yet found what can verify it, it is not easy to speak of it with others. But when it comes to the doctrinal texts of our Great Hero, then there truly exist those that do not blush at such words. Recently, when carving the Kongmu zhang, a certain printer asked me to collate it, so having noted this down by chance, I wrote it as a colophon.
