1.70

初、解中二：一、始，謂解知如前所說諸義，令心決定。二、終，謂知此解，是解非行，亦解知正行不如所解，是故方堪為行方便。

First, within understanding, there are two: (1) The beginning, which means understanding and knowing the various meanings as explained above, causing the mind to be decisive. (2) The end, which means knowing that this understanding is understanding and not practice, and also understanding and knowing that correct practice is not like what is understood; therefore, only then is it capable of serving as an expedient for practice.
