初、緣起相由門者，於中曲有三門：一、諸緣互異門，即異體也；二；諸緣互應門，即同體也；三、應異無礙門，即雙辨同異也。此三門中各有三義：一、互相依持力無力義，由此得相入也；二、互相形奪體無體義，由此得相即也；三、體用雙融有無義，由此即入同時自在也。

First, regarding the gate of the mutual conditionality of dependent origination, within it there are in detail three gates: (1) the gate of the mutual difference of the various conditions, which is different essence; (2) the gate of the mutual correspondence of the various conditions, which is identical essence; (3) the gate of unobstructed correspondence and difference, which dual-clarifies identity and difference. Within each of these three gates there are three meanings: (1) the meaning of mutual reliance and sustaining, with force and without force, through which mutual interpenetration is attained; (2) the meaning of mutual shaping and depriving, with essence and without essence, through which mutual identification is attained; (3) the meaning of the dual interpenetration of essence and function, existence and non-existence, through which identification and interpenetration are simultaneous and sovereign.
