夫緣情未泯，見有正邪。法體隨迷，故隨緣而生滅。法界沖寂，泯寂滅以是非。今欲顯其實趣，簡彼權門，使皂白以雙分，令真妄而兩別，略舉大綱，題茲十義：

Now, when conditioning sentiments have not yet been eliminated, views are divided into correct and wrong. The essence of dharmas follows delusion, hence it arises and ceases in accordance with conditions. The dharmadhātu is serene and tranquil, obliterating calm and cessation along with right and wrong. Now, wishing to reveal its true destination and set aside those provisional approaches, making black and white clearly distinct and separating the true from the deluded, we briefly state the general outline and present these ten meanings:
