Fourth, penetrating nature-origination: The dust mote's essence is empty and non-existent, and its characteristics are entirely exhausted; there is only the single true nature. Because emptiness does not preserve its self-nature, its entire essence forms all phenomena. Therefore, the myriad images rise in profusion; yet, even while the myriad images rise in profusion, they never lose the single flavor of the true essence. Arising is constantly non-arising, and non-arising is constantly arising. Truly, because non-arising is arising, arising reveals conditioned arising; because arising is non-arising, non-arising discloses the dharmadhātu. Therefore, this dust mote is both principle and phenomenon, both cessation and origination; all are due to arising from non-arising. This dust mote is also the empty principle, both disintegration and concealment; because of non-arising from arising, it rises in profusion all day long without any posited fabrication.
