Fifth, understanding integration and disintegration: When the dust mote is established arising from conditions, this is integration; when its essence does not constitute a dust mote, this is disintegration. Now, through understanding that conditions are not conditions, it is called conditional integration; understanding that disintegration is not disintegration, it is called conditional disintegration. Because disintegration does not hinder the initial integration of phenomena, the time of disintegration is precisely the time of integration; because integration has nothing that exists, the time of integration is precisely the time of disintegration. They are both simultaneously established, with neither before nor after. If there were integration without disintegration, it would exist by intrinsic nature; if there were disintegration without integration, it would be nihilistic emptiness. Integration and disintegration are a single realm, manifesting through mutual dependence.
