Second, understanding object and wisdom: the round and small phenomenal characteristic of a single dust mote is conventional truth; understanding that the dust mote is unarisen and without intrinsic nature is paramārtha-satya. Those two truths of the real and conventional are the objects relied upon; this penetrating mind is the wisdom that relies upon them. This wisdom, with regard to the object, no longer has the two kinds of discrimination of grāhaka and grāhya. Why is this? Now, wisdom can only be called wisdom when established through dharmas, for apart from dharmas there is no wisdom capable of discriminating; dharmas can only be called dharmas when revealed through wisdom, for apart from wisdom there is no object to be discriminated. Because the mind's wisdom is still, although it flows and illuminates, it is constantly serene; because dharmas accord with conditions, although empty and still, they are constantly functioning.
