第二依理起事門者，亦有二種：一者、所歸理非斷空故，不礙事相宛然。二者、所入止不滯寂故，復有隨事起修妙覺觀。

The second is the gate of generating phenomena relying on principle, which also has two kinds: 1. Because the principle to which one returns is not nihilistic emptiness, it does not obstruct phenomenon-characteristics from being distinctly evident; 2. Because the śamatha entered does not stagnate in quietude, there is further the wondrous awakened contemplation that arises in accordance with phenomena to cultivate practice.
