答曰：「依起信論有三種心：一者、直心，正念真如法故；二者、深心，樂修一切諸善行故；三者、大悲心，救度一切苦眾生故。依此三心，各曲開十門。

The answer is: "According to the Qixin lun, there are three kinds of mind: first, the straightforward mind, because it is properly mindful of the dharma of tathatā; second, the deep mind, because it delights in cultivating all good practices; third, the mind of great compassion, because it rescues all suffering sentient beings. Based on these three minds, each is further opened into ten gates.
