"Second, there are sentient beings who also turn their backs on the sacred teachings and do not read the scriptures. Only with a simple and straightforward mind do they follow the aforementioned deceitful persons, deeming it the essential way of liberation, laboriously cultivating with ultimately no benefit. Although they are superior to the former category, they are still not good people. Both of these two above abandon the sacred teachings and do not attain the principle.
