以義分教，教類有五：前四小大、始終、漸頓皆偏；今示圓融，故次第七勒十玄也。

Differentiating the teachings by their tenets, there are five categories of teachings: the previous four—Hīnayāna and Mahāyāna, initial and final, gradual and sudden—are all partial; now, to demonstrate complete interpenetration, seventhly, the ten mysteries are formulated.
