The Awakening of Faith says: "All sentient beings are not called enlightened because from the beginning, thought following thought in succession, they have never been free from conceptual thoughts; hence it is called beginningless ignorance (avidyā)." This is identical to the present text's "all delusions since beginningless time". The treatise also says: "If one attains freedom from conceptual thoughts, then one knows the arising, abiding, change, and ceasing of mental characteristics, up to being fundamentally equal in a single enlightenment." This is identical to the next line of the text: "originally without reality is named 'enlightenment'."
