Language
Classical Chinese

1.37

This concludes that true principle is unmoving; movement is itself phenomena. Gold analogizes the nature of the One True; the lion analogizes the phenomenal dharmas of dependent origination. Principle is fundamentally unarisen, yet according with various conditional dharmas, it forms differentiated characteristics. Though characteristics arise in profusion, principle is itself unarisen. Therefore Qingliang says: 'When principle changes in accordance with phenomena, then the dependent origination of the one and the many is boundless.'
