1.53

謂一切眾生無始已來，煩惱業習癡迷不了，周遍計度心外有法，顛倒取捨，隨情起惑，自纏自縛，枉受輪迴。

This means that all sentient beings, since beginningless time, through the defilements, karmic habituations, and ignorant delusions, fail to understand, comprehensively calculating that there are dharmas external to the mind, taking and rejecting in inverted fashion, giving rise to delusions according to emotion, entangling and binding themselves, vainly undergoing transmigration.
