釋曰：此重釋第三門。三明如理包含，今由與理有非一義，不壞陜相而能廣容。文中非一故陜、非異故廣，先明非一即非異，故明不壞。廣容下句反上。是則一塵下，結。

The Explanation states: This re-explains the third gate. The third clarified containing in conformity with principle; now, because it has the meaning of being not identical with principle, without destroying the characteristic of narrowness it can broadly contain. In the text, because of being not identical, it is narrow; because of being not different, it is broad. First clarifying that being not identical is being not different, it therefore clarifies not destroying [characteristics]. The clause below 'broadly contains' is the reverse of the above. From 'Thus, the phenomenon of a single dust particle…' onward, it concludes.
