若不即者，見色外空，無由成於聖智。又應凡聖永別，聖不從凡得故。上二句，拂前第二觀也。

If it were not identical, seeing emptiness apart from rūpa would provide no basis for accomplishing noble wisdom. Furthermore, ordinary beings and sages would be forever separated, because a sage would not be attained from an ordinary being. The above two lines wipe away the second contemplation above.
