非前後也。又事無體藉緣，可言成壞等，不可言隱顯等。理性本有，可言隱顯等，不可言成壞等。不會初二者，是總相故，餘之八門依此成也。又相遍門無別異相，非如隱現等殊故。此下勸修云。

Not sequential. Furthermore, phenomena have no substance and rely on conditions; one may speak of establishment, destruction, and so forth, but one cannot speak of concealment, manifestation, and so forth. Principle is inherently existent; one may speak of concealment, manifestation, and so forth, but one cannot speak of establishment, destruction, and so forth. The reason the first two gates are not correlated is that they are general characteristics, and the remaining eight gates are established based on them. Moreover, the gate of mutual pervasion has no distinct characteristics, unlike the distinctions of concealment, manifestation, and so on. From here down is the exhortation to cultivate, saying:
