三色不即空，以即空故。何以故？以空中無色故不即空，會色無體故即是空（釋也）。良由會色歸空，空中必無色。

3. Rūpa is not identical to śūnyatā, because it is identical to śūnyatā. Why? Because in śūnyatā there is no rūpa, it is not identical to śūnyatā; resolving rūpa to be devoid of substance, it is therefore identical to śūnyatā (this is the explanation). It is precisely because resolving rūpa returns to śūnyatā that in śūnyatā there must certainly be no rūpa.
