南泉願禪師，因與陸亘大夫坐次，大夫曰：「肇法師也甚奇特，解道『天地與我同根，萬物與我一體。』」南泉以手指庭前一株花云：「大夫！時人見此一株花，如夢相似也。」

While Chan Master Nanquan Yuan was sitting with Grand Master Lu Geng, the Grand Master said: "Dharma Master Zhao was also extraordinary, able to say, 'Heaven and earth share the same root with me; the myriad things are of one substance with me.'" Nanquan pointed with his finger to a flower in the courtyard, saying: "Grand Master! When people of this age see this single flower, it is just like a dream."
