Buying and selling within the guild does not allow outsiders to know. Alas! People of this age all say Old Wang sells melons, obtaining the Buddha's full fruition through causal practice flowers. Some say: Old Wang is Nanquan, who often referred to himself as Teacher Wang. Do not misunderstand! Why so? When Nanquan called the Grand Master, the orioles sang in the willows on the embankment; when he pointed his finger at the courtyard flower, butterflies danced in the spring atop the trees. Fearing people would not understand, he again produced Old Wang's melon-selling words that cut off conceptual sentiments. If it is still not understood, Yimen is defeated.
