正法一千年，像法一千年，末法一萬年。盡末法數，故曰萬古。聲教流傳，如香遠騰也。

The True Dharma lasts one thousand years, the Semblance Dharma lasts one thousand years, and the Degenerate Dharma lasts ten thousand years. Exhausting the count of the Degenerate Dharma, it is therefore called "myriad ages." The propagation of the auditory teaching is like fragrance wafting into the distance.
