1.188

此是夷門所下揀斷空空空語，意顯真空外無斷滅空。因妄計成，物本寂然，無非真空也。故《法華》云「諸法從本來，常自寂滅相。」頌曰（下皆合有，準此略之）。

These are the words appended by Yimen to screen out the emptiness of nihilistic emptiness; the meaning reveals that outside of true emptiness, there is no nihilistic extinction-emptiness. Formed due to false calculation, things are originally calm and extinct, and there is nothing that is not true emptiness. Therefore the Lotus Sūtra says: 'All phenomena from their very origin / are constantly characteristics of calm extinction.'
