就路還家，有何不可。此頌滅色明空之病。疏云「如穿井除土出空，要須滅色。」《中論》云「先有而後無，是為斷滅。」今簡易此故云不壞有也。《肇論》云「豈待割宰以求通哉」。白樂天云：「不離妄有而得真空矣。」

Returning home along the path—what could be amiss? This gāthā addresses the illness of destroying form to clarify emptiness. The Commentary says: 'Like digging a well and removing soil to produce empty space, one must destroy form.' The Madhyamaka-śāstra says: 'Existing first and non-existing later is called nihilistic extinction.' Now, to simplify and set this apart, it says 'does not destroy existence'. The Zhao lun says: 'How could one wait for cutting and cleaving to seek open passage?' Bai Letian says: 'Without leaving false existence, true emptiness is attained.'
