身閑臨葦岸，心靜樂煙波。此頌上句約境明空，下句約人即色也。如把釣竿人，心心只在釣竿頭，何落空之有也。《肇論》云「諸家通第一義諦，皆言廓然空寂，無有聖人。乃至若無聖人，知無者誰？誰與道遊？」明空即色，妙解潛彰於斯顯然。

With leisurely body approaching the reed bank,
With quiet mind delighting in misty waves.
This verse: The first line clarifies emptiness with respect to the object; the second line is identical to form with respect to the person. Like a person holding a fishing rod, whose mind is solely focused on the tip of the fishing rod, how could there be any falling into emptiness? The Zhao lun says: "The various masters, expounding the ultimate truth, all say it is vast and quietly empty, devoid of holy sages... Furthermore, if there were no holy sage, who would know that it is non-existent? Who would roam with the Way?" Clarifying that emptiness is identical to form, wondrous understanding is implicitly revealed and manifestly evident here.
