已除鼻上泥痕，更遣心頭妄計。義曰：謂彼凡夫妄計色法實有自體，情執難忘，故再揀耳。《觀》云「二真空不即實色。實色是所揀，以真空即幻色故，是能揀法也。」

The trace of mud on the nose has already been removed;
The deluded conceptualization in the mind must further be dispatched.
Commentary: This means that ordinary persons falsely conceptualize material phenomena as truly having intrinsic substance, their emotional attachment being difficult to forget, hence they are selected out again. The Contemplation says: "Second, true emptiness is not identical to real form. Real form is what is selected out; because true emptiness is identical to illusory form, it is the method that can select out."
