心境既雙遣，斷實一齊休。義曰：前雖單揀遍計之情，今顯同時，故曰雙揀。此以真空即不即法，揀去斷空實色之情計訖。《觀》云「三斷空不即幻色。斷空是所揀，以真空即幻色故。真空不即實色，實色是所揀也。」

Since mind and object are both dispatched,
Annihilation and reality cease all at once.
Commentary: Although previously only parikalpita sentiments were individually selected out, now they are shown simultaneously, hence called "jointly selecting out." This uses true emptiness being identical or not identical with phenomena to select out and finish with the sentimental conceptualizations of annihilated emptiness and real form. The Contemplation says: "Third, annihilated emptiness is not identical to illusory form. Annihilated emptiness is what is selected out, because true emptiness is identical to illusory form. True emptiness is not identical to real form; real form is what is selected out."
