欲窮千里目，更上一層樓。此頌雖達俗諦，更須明即俗之真，物物目際皎然明白，不應滯事而迷理，全無變動之見，故曰却須行也。

Wishing to exhaust a thousand leagues of sight, ascend yet another story of the tower. Although this verse attains the conventional truth, it is further necessary to clarify the ultimate within the conventional itself. Before one's eyes, thing after thing is luminously clear; one should not stagnate in phenomena and be confused about principle, harboring the view of total immobility. Hence it says, "yet you must go forth."
