赤心片片，重重相為。此頌上四句中不明玄旨。又問：夷門意趣如何？師云：金剛拏起拳，是同坑無異土。若又不領，假使普慧雲興二百問，普賢瓶瀉二千答，不遇知音，也是徒勞話會。然則忽遇箇中人，如何別通一線？要會麼？不解金剛拏起拳，領取泥牛耕水月。

Red-hearted pieces, aiding one another layer upon layer. This verse does not clarify the profound purport in the four lines above. Again it is asked: What is Yimen's drift? The Master says: The Vajra[-holder] raises his fist; it is the same pit without different earth. If one still does not comprehend, even if Samantaprajñā raises two hundred questions like rising clouds, and Samantabhadra pours forth two thousand answers like an overflowing vase, if one does not meet an intimate knower, it is also a futile conversation. That being so, if one suddenly encounters a person within this, how to open a different thread? Do you wish to understand? Not understanding the Vajra[-holder] raising his fist, take up the mud ox plowing the water-moon.
