本自圓成，不勞心力。此頌真如不守自性，從來法爾隨緣。成柳帳而作花裀，全彰妙有；現天文而明地理，盡顯真空。何勞妙辨以宣揚？豈假神通而顯示？達者可爾，不用功夫。若乃情關固閉識鎖難開，未明法爾全真，須假終南觀智而冥會矣。

Fundamentally complete of itself, / It requires no mental effort. This gāthā means that true suchness does not maintain its own nature, but has always naturally accorded with conditions. Becoming willow curtains and serving as flower cushions, it completely manifests wondrous existence; revealing heavenly patterns and clarifying earthly configurations, it fully displays true emptiness. Why trouble wonderful eloquence to proclaim it? How could it depend on supernatural powers to be demonstrated? For the realized person it is so, using no effort. But if the gate of sentiment is firmly barred and the lock of consciousness is difficult to open, failing to understand that dharmatā is entirely true, one must rely on the contemplative wisdom of Zhongnan to secretly accord with it.
