肯來兩手相分付，擬去千尋不可攀。此頌忘情反照却易相應，以識十度進求誠難會矣。且如玄會終南觀旨一句，作麼生道？

If willing to come, it is handed over with both hands; / If intending to go after it, it is unscalable at a thousand fathoms. This gāthā means that forgetting sentiments and reflecting backward makes it easy to correspond, whereas using consciousness repeatedly to advance and seek makes it truly difficult to understand.
