2.229

In only one firm and dense body, / It is seen in all dust motes. The meaning is: the second and fourth [gates] have solely the meaning of pervasion, while the fifth has solely the meaning of containment. Now combining them simultaneously, it possesses both of these two meanings. When viewing one dharma in relation to the many, while it universally pervades, it immediately broadly contains; when viewing many dharmas in relation to one dharma, gathering one dharma within the many dharmas, while broadly containing, it immediately universally pervades. Pervasion is containment, and containment is pervasion; hence called 'unobstructed'.
