一身普現一切水，一切水月一月攝。此頌上句一法望多法，以喻顯法也。下句多法望一法，即後門法，義在同時。

A single body universally manifests in all waters; / The moons in all waters are gathered into one moon. The first line of this gāthā views one dharma in relation to many dharmas, using a metaphor to reveal the Dharma. The second line views many dharmas in relation to one dharma, which is the teaching of the subsequent gate, their meanings being simultaneous.
