說同因異立，無異同何同？此頌同因異立、異因同彰。今此門中異伴不立獨顯主法，拂其對異之同，故曰甚處同也。

"Sameness is established due to difference; / Without difference, what sameness is the same?"
This verse means that sameness is established due to difference, and difference is manifested due to sameness. Now in this gate, the different companion is not established, exclusively revealing the host phenomenon and sweeping away the sameness that opposes difference; hence it is said: "in what place are they the same?"
