2.49

密移一步六門曉，無限風光大地春。此頌玄寂不變體一妙絕群數，故曰非多也。靈鑒隨緣，用廣數而應之，故曰處處和也，正明理遍於事者也。

Secretly shifting one step, the six gates dawn; / Boundless scenery: the great earth is spring.
This verse [means that] the profound quiescence and unchanging substance are one, marvelously cutting off all numbers, hence it is said to be 'not manifold.' The spiritual mirror accords with conditions, its functions extending across numbers to respond to them, hence it is said to 'harmonize everywhere,' directly clarifying that principle pervades phenomena.
