Precisely because it is extremely clear, / It conversely delays what is attained. In this verse, "exposed pillars" are pillars under the eaves, signifying conforming to conditions. "Wood" signifies unchangingness. Although conforming to conditions to become exposed pillars, it is constantly not phenomena. This principle is difficult to clarify, and they dare not undertake it; hence it sighs over its profundity in terms of persons. Or perhaps it is mostly flavorless talk that blocks people's mouths. Since true principle is not phenomena, who dares to speak of it? They do not dare to undertake it.
