1.71

記云：無量遠劫即一念者，竪析一髮為十分乃至百分、千分，以其一分置玉板上，舉利刃斷，約其利刃至板之時為一念也。

A record says: 'Immeasurably distant eons are identical to a single thought-moment': if one splits a single hair lengthwise into ten parts, and further into a hundred parts or a thousand parts, places one of those parts on a jade board, and raises a sharp blade to cut it, the single thought-moment is reckoned by the time it takes the sharp blade to reach the board.
