享保三龍集戊戌仲秋初九天，依淨俊成業御許可而繕寫之。上件本者，示觀國師俗甥之神足、禪明房實圓之御本也。乍然文字魚魯風鳳之謬尤多，後覽君子夫思之（矣）。

On the ninth day of the middle autumn month in the wuxu year [corresponding to] the third year of the Kyōhō era, [I] copied this in accordance with the permission of Jōshun Seigō. The aforementioned text is the venerable copy of the Zen-illuminating Room, Jitsuen, a foremost disciple and lay nephew of National Preceptor Jikan. However, errors in the characters such as confusing fish for Lu or wind for phoenix are particularly numerous; may noble readers of later times reflect upon this.
