問：「上顯求之有方，則理事雙得。然求之所幸，有布有繒，或氈㲲相乘，或毛綿間獲，五納百結，聞諸儉徒，木食草衣，偏資山眾。蒙既惑焉，願欣其要。」

Question: "The above explains that if there is proper method in seeking, then both principle and phenomena are attained. Yet regarding what one is fortunate enough to obtain: there are hemp and silk; or felt and fine cotton combined; or hair and floss obtained together; fivefold patched robes and robes of a hundred knots are heard of among frugal practitioners; feeding on tree [fruit] and clothing in grass especially sustain mountain-dwellers. Being confused about this, I wish to hear its essentials."
