問：「出家靜節，省事為先，隨得受用，安心行道。比見法衣，橫加割截，方復連綴，號曰聖儀。損功妨道，豈復過此？幸賜誠文，用祛昏漠。」

Question: "Renunciation prioritizes quiet discipline and saving labor, receiving and using what one happens to get to practice the Way with a peaceful mind. Recently I have seen Dharma robes crosswise cut and severed, and then pieced together again, which is called holy deportment. Could wasting effort and hindering the Way ever exceed this? I humbly request you to grant true texts to dispel this ignorance."
